  • Botulinum

Botulinum toxins are purified proteins made by botulinum bacteria. They work by blocking the action of acetylcholine, and so relax your muscles.

Botulinum is a common cosmetic medicine treatment. Each year, millions of treatments are performed. It is one of the world’s most researched medications and has an established safety profile.

I have successfully administered muscle relaxant treatments for numerous clients with a range of skin types and conditions. I have developed an ethical, personable approach that is inclusive of your specific concerns.

I inject small amounts to maintain your natural appearance and facial expression. I do not condone overtreatment, as all too often this results in loss of natural beauty and expression.

Botulinum treatments are suitable for most people; however, there are some contraindications. Therefore, a thorough assessment is always conducted prior to treatment.

  • Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances made from Hyaluronic Acid.

Over the past two decades they have gained popularity in cosmetic medicine, due to their versatility in enhancing facial features, and similarities to Hyaluronic Acid that is naturally occurring in the dermal layer of our skin.

Hyaluronic Acid is responsible for keeping our skin firm, plump, and youthful-looking. With age, we start losing our youthful facial volume, which contributes to the formation of wrinkles. Men and women of all ages have this treatment to assist in restoring vitality and the aesthetic balance of their face. Dermal fillers are commonly used for subtle enhancements to increase the attractiveness of features by adding volume and definition.

At Vivi Skin Clinic, I only use high-quality FDA-approved fillers. These are scientifically proven to be medically safe, biodegradable, and reasonably long-lasting. Our dermal fillers also contain lidocaine to minimise discomfort.

Post-treatment, some patients may experience mild swelling or bruising. This usually disappears within a few days, and your fillers will settle. While the fillers do not prevent the ageing process, they do allow you to enjoy a refreshed and hydrated complexion. Fillers will eventually break down and naturally dissolve in the skin.

Book a free consultation prior to treatment. My treatments range from 30 - 75 minutes.

  • Profhilo®

As we age, the presence of hyaluronic acid in the skin naturally starts to decrease, which causes the skin to lose its natural firmness and elasticity. Most people begin to see the effects of hyaluronic acid depletion as they reach their 30s.

As a stabilised product Profhilo® lasts in the skin for around 4-6 weeks. During this time the stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid. The simulation results in significant subdermal enhancement. Profhilo is a skin booster that also has a significant skin tightening and lifting impact.

Profhilo stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore the firmness of the skin. It has one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market.

Profhilo not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck and can also be used for the décolletage, where it would effectively treat skin laxity. The treatment is suitable for men and women as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages.

Results are visible after only 2 treatments, 4 weeks apart. Profhilo can be repeated 6-12 monthly to maintain the best possible results.

  • Excessive Sweating

Hyperhidrosis, otherwise known as excessive sweating, can significantly influence a person’s quality of life, yet the treatment can be straightforward. In many cases, the sweating only affects a concentrated area such as the underarms.

Excessive sweating, medically known as hyperhidrosis, often starts at puberty and more common than people think. Whether it’s the underarms, palms, or face this condition can be debilitating, resulting in social anxiety and embarrassment.

It can make one tentative about shaking hands and speaking in public; it can ruin clothes, keep one from wearing certain colors, and increase body odour. I treat excessive sweating safely with popular treatments for those who suffer from hyperhidrosis.

When Botulinum Toxin A is injected into the sweat gland, it blocks the nerve signals responsible for sweating and stopping the sweat glands from producing too much sweat. Treatment is typically needed in six to twelve months, as the nerves regenerate. However, over time, patients can go longer between treatments.

    Consumer Information

Hyperhidrosis is an approved, registered indication for Botulinum Toxin A.
